Roah Consulting provides MBA admission services in Tokyo. Mr. Roah, the president, works as a MBA admissions consultant and has helped scores of candidates gain acceptance to their dream schools over the past 9 years. He asked me to redesign his website. Before the redesign, the website was made with a system provided by a hosting service. The system was good because clients could update the pages without the knowledge of HTML, but it was a little complicated and it was impossible to customize much. I proposed to switch the hosting service and install a content management system (CMS) that would be easier to use. I chose WordPress because it’s an open source and easy to use. Mr. Roah can post to his blog and modify pages by himself.
Also, I changed the design to give it a more sophisticated atmosphere. Dark blue was used in the website beforehand and I kept the blue because it’s a good color, giving customers a sense of trust.
The website was in English, except for a client testimonials page. The target of the website are Japanese people who’d like to study for an MBA and they would need to be good in English, but the most of them would search for schools in Japanese first. So I translated the original text from English to Japanese with a consideration for search terms (search engine optimization, or SEO).
Next, I’m proposing a redesign of his business card. It’s an important aspect of branding. I believe unity of your business is very important.
